Driving Question: What does it truly mean to thrive, and how might we create systems that support wealth for all?

Overview of School-wide Project:  This school year, students across five subject areas will explore the many dimensions of wealth and equity—what wealth looks like, who has access to it (and who doesn’t), and how we might design systems to help all people thrive. You will investigate real-world issues and create authentic solutions through your subject-area lens. Each class will contribute to a powerful shared story: one that connects disciplines, engages our community, and culminates in a public exhibition in Spring 2026.

Timeline:

  • Kickoff Assembly (October 1)
  • JA Finance Park Field Trip (October 27/28)
  • Class Idea Swap (December 9)
  • Portfolios Due (February 27)
  • Think Tank (March 4)
  • PHHS Expo (March 14)
  • CCTE Showcase (May)

Our Project for Conflict & Change: Students will be using the United Nations 2030 Global Sustainable Development Goals to create a service project or become an activist, choosing one way that they can make a difference to bring equity and sustainability of the community of San Diego.
